Our first trip to Spokane/Green Bluff was cut short by a heatwave and crazy wildfire smoke that pushed us further west faster than we planned. However, in the short time we were there, multiple people told us about how amazing the area was in the fall. I immediately had it in my head that we were going to try to go back for the fall festivals if the timing worked out.

Long Beach, Washington

We had an amazing time visiting Long Beach, Washington. It is a great beach town with shops and restaurants right off the loooong beach. They are known for the kite festival (which we just missed! ugh.) but did get to see some fliers still hanging out on the beach. The shapes, sizes, and synchronicity of the kite fliers were incredible.

Anacortes, Washington

We made it all the way to the west coast 🙂

We stayed in Anacortes, Washington to do some whale watching and check out the coastal town. First stop… seafood. We LOVE seafood but really only trust the quality when in coastal areas. We filled up on halibut and put some extra in the freezer to enjoy as we moved back inland.
