Lava Hot Springs, Idaho
We were so pleasantly surprised about the beautiful terrain around Lava Hot Springs, Idaho. We stayed at a Bison Ranch and fed the bison herd and then had an evening soak in the hot springs. What an amazing day!

McCall, Idaho
We were blown away by this beautiful part of the country. The entire drive from Northern Idaho through the western portion of the state was absolutely gorgeous as the fall colors were setting in. We did a few hikes through the Payette National Forest, found some natural hot springs, and spent some time by Payette Lake. Lastly, we spent a night in Cascade at the Van Wyck Campground right on Lake Cascade. These pictures don’t do the area justice 😉

Summer at Schweitzer Ski Resort
From West Yellowstone, we cut back across to Missoula to stay with one of the most friendly Harvest Hosts we have found (our 2nd visit here!) as we made our way into northern Idaho. It was late July and HOT. 100 degrees in a camper with no A/C is not okay.

Goldbug Hot Springs
Just south of Salmon, Idaho is a lovely 3.5 mile round trip hike to Goldbug Hot Spring. The hike itself is great, with some moderately steep ascents at the beginning and end, but overall an easy trek. You come to the hot spring and there are waterfalls and pools everywhere.
