Horseshoe Bend…

Horseshoe Bend is more beautiful than a picture can do justice. This natural bend in the river is surrounded by 1000′ cliffs and unimaginable canyon scenery.

Often thought of as a tourist trap, it is a tourist trap for good reason. And, even though there may be a multitude of people at the view point, the vastness of the rock from above does not feel crowded, at all.

It is about 3/4 of a mile walk down and you can’t see the canyon until you are right on it. It’s depth makes your tummy tumble, and if you are a daredevil, you can sit on the edge (at your own risk, of course!) to get some of that adrenaline that spurs your soul.

Page, Arizona is a unique gem that needs to be on everyone’s bucket list. It is a small town on the Arizona/Utah border, but it is jam-packed with scenery and magical natural landscapes that will blow your mind.

Horseshoe Bend and Antelope Canyon are probably the most well-known ‘tourist’ locations in this area, and for good reason. Unfortunately, when we visited, the main touring area of Antelope Canyon (lower) was closed. However, we found out that you can kayak into the upper canyon and walk.. SO WE DID!
