Lone Rock Beach

As one of the most popular beaches in the Glen Canyon National Recreation Area, Lone Rock Beach is an impeccable campground with an amazing view of Lake Powell. You can drive right onto the sand and set up with the door opening to the Lone Rock and pristine waters.

This was our first stop in Utah and we got to hang out, read a book, watch the kids build sand castles, paddle board to the island and just enjoy our time together. Amazingly enough, about four weeks on the road and this was the first time we were able to light a fire. Weston was so excited and loved helping stack the rocks to make our fire ring.

Grand Canyon National Park

This was one stop that I was looking forward to. I feel like I have missed out on multiple opportunities to see the Grand Canyon for whatever reason. I had also heard many different perspectives on it and tried not to go in with someone else’s views in my head (it’s just a crack in the ground, it’s not that impressive, etc).
